The Day I Became a Full Time Coach

:tap tap tap: Um…is this thing on?

Wow, I can’t believe it’s been over a month since I’ve written a blog post! I’ve wanted to write…really I have. I even have an entire folder on my Google drive with topics and beginnings of posts, and…well…you know I am a single mom and a teacher, and the end of school is pretty crazy soooo writing blog posts was put on the back burner for the entire month of May.

Wait a minute. I think I need to edit a sentence up there.

What I meant to say is —- I WAS a teacher. Was. Past tense. No longer in the business of teaching special education. Ms. K has left the classroom and does not have plans to return.

Pretty sure I was owl #2 from the second day of school until about 3 days ago.

That’s right…my plan of being a full time fitness coach may have been delayed one year, but that plan is FINALLY in place!! I am now able to set my own hours, spend my days doing what I LOVE without a bunch of hoops to jump through or crazy federal or state or district guidelines to meet…and the best part of all…I can be PRESENT for my family! I was very sad that I had to miss my son’s kindergarten graduation day, and he wasn’t too thrilled about it either. Unfortunately, there will never be another kindie graduation for me to see, but there WILL be class parties and other school events that I can make sure I attend! And nothing makes my heart happier than knowing I can be there for my babies. <3

I left off "Work in your pajamas with no bra, in a swimsuit, or in the bathtub." Yes, I've done all three.

So last Friday was my first official day of not being a teacher, and in true mom fashion, I spent a full week catching up on dentist appointments, vet appointments, orthodontist appointments, house cleaning, and catching up on everything else I’ve been putting off while I tried to just keep my sanity during the school year.

But today…one week later…I can breathe. I still have a LONG list of things I want to do, both for my house and for my coaching business, but there’s no rush! I can do a little bit each day and I don’t have to worry about what I may or may not get done before school starts back in August!

This is good news for you too, you know.

I can now devote as MUCH time as I want to my business. Today alone I sat down and followed up on so many messages, planned new trainings for my team, and submersed myself in learning and new ideas. I had a work date with a coach friend and I even read a few pages in a BOOK while waiting to get the oil changed in my car!

So if you’ve been holding off for any reason, whether it’s because you want to join a challenge group to get support in reaching your summer goals, or if you are ready to quit your job outside of them home and be able to have more flexible hours with your family — now is the PERFECT time to reach out to me! I am 100% here to help you with what you need.

Contact me if you are interested in joining my next challenge group.  I can’t wait for you to get started!
